Big Hold for Platters and Hollow Forms

The Type G is built for big work. A large external dovetail grips platters and bowl blanks at the rim, while the serrated inner jaw face bites into hollow-form interiors and end-grain pieces — one set of jaws covers two distinct workholding modes.

True-circle diameters are 112 mm (4.41") external and 90 mm (3.54") internal; the practical range stretches from 82–100 mm (3.23"–3.94") internal and 102–120 mm (4.02"–4.72") external when you can accept some loss of perfect roundness. Stainless steel construction protects against corrosion.

Recommended for SK100 and SK114 chucks. The SK100 ships ready to mount these directly. To use them on the SK114, you'll need the SK100 Accessory Mounting Jaws (sold separately) since the SK114 ships with SK114-specific mounting jaws.

The Type G is the dual-profile gripper for big work — large external dovetail for platters and bowl blanks, serrated inner face for hollow forms and end-grain pieces. Sized for the upper end of the SK100 jaw range. For larger capacity in a pure-gripper profile, see the Colossus Gripper Jaws (150 mm); for smaller work, see the Type H Medium Gripper Jaws (100 mm).

On the SK100 chuck, these mount directly to the supplied accessory mounting jaws. To use them on the SK114, fit the SK100 Accessory Mounting Jaws (sold separately) — the SK114 ships with its own SK114-specific mounting jaws by default.
