Description
Repeatable, Square Crosscuts in One Compact, Portable Kit
The TSO Crosscut System turns your track saw into a fast, repeatable crosscutting station. It pairs a compatible TSO Guide Rail Square (sold separately) with a single Parallel Guide Track and Flip Stop Pro. The square keeps your guide rail at a true 90°, while the Flip Stop Pro references the left edge of your workpiece, letting you set a precise cut width and return to it cut after cut.
Driven by feedback from the TSO woodworking community, the Crosscut System takes the proven components of our Parallel Guide System Gen 2 and streamlines them into a lighter, portable setup focused on crosscuts — for woodworkers who want that precision without the full two-track kit.
Key Features
- True 90° Crosscuts: Works with a compatible TSO Guide Rail Square to keep the guide rail perfectly square to your workpiece for every cut.
- Repeatable Cut Width: The Flip Stop Pro references the left edge of your workpiece to set a precise cut width — set it once and return to it every time.
- Proven Gen 2 Components: Built from the same Parallel Guide Track and Flip Stop Pro as our Parallel Guide System Gen 2, refined through years of customer feedback.
- Clear Line of Sight: The included Guide Rail Square Connector offsets the square slightly, giving you a clear view of the reference edge so you can confirm you are square before every cut.
- Light and Portable: With a single track, the whole rig is lighter and more compact than a full parallel guide setup — easy to move, easy to store.
- Up to 30″ Capacity, Compact Footprint: Enables repeatable cuts up to 30″ (762 mm) wide, while the track itself measures only 24.25″ (616 mm).
- Broad Square Compatibility: Works with any current TSO Guide Rail Square (GRS-16 or GRS-16 PE family) that has accessory mounting holes standard since 2018.
- Proudly Made in the USA: Designed, manufactured, and hand-assembled in the USA.
How It Works
A compatible TSO Guide Rail Square squares the guide rail to the front edge of your workpiece, so your saw tracks a true 90°. The Guide Rail Square Connector joins the square to a single Parallel Guide Track, and the Flip Stop Pro references the left edge of your workpiece to set your cut width. Dial it in once, lock the stop, and reproduce the same crosscut across every part — no scribing, no re-measuring.
Because the connector offsets the square, the reference edge stays in full view. You can see that the square is pressed firmly against your material before the saw ever touches it.
Required, Sold Separately: A Compatible Guide Rail Square & a 3mm Hex Driver
Two things are needed to use the Crosscut System, and neither is included in this kit: a compatible TSO Guide Rail Square and a 3mm Hex Driver.
A compatible Guide Rail Square. Nearly any GRS-16 or GRS-16 PE will work — here is how to be sure.
Already own a Guide Rail Square? Look at the top of your square for two accessory mounting holes, one on each side of the TSO logo, tapped 100 mm (3.94″) apart on center. These have been standard on every GRS-16 variant built since 2018. If your square has them, you are ready to go.
Need a Guide Rail Square? Choose the model that matches your track saw. The square you own also determines which guide rails the system fits:
- GRS-16 PE v2: Fits Festool, Makita, Milwaukee, Powertec, Triton, and WEN
- GRS-16 PE K: Fits Kreg ACS (does not fit the Kreg AccuCut)
- GRS-16 PE R: Fits Ridgid
- GRS-16 PE D: Fits DeWalt
- GRS-16: Fits Festool, Makita, Milwaukee, Powertec, Triton, and WEN
A 3mm hex driver. You will need one to attach the components and calibrate the Flip Stop Pro. Use a 3mm hex driver you have on hand, or add our 3mm Hex Driver.
Is the Crosscut System Right for You?
The Crosscut System references your workpiece on two edges at once: your Guide Rail Square squares the cut to the front edge, and the single Parallel Guide Track sets your width off the left edge. For crosscuts and shorter rips, that is all the reference you need — quick to set, light to carry, and accurate.
Longer rips are a different story. To keep a cut parallel to the left edge across a full sheet, accuracy comes from how far apart your reference points sit along that edge — the wider the span, the truer the cut. The Crosscut System contacts the left edge at a single point, which is what keeps it so compact and why it is ideal for shorter length cuts. The complete Parallel Guide System Gen 2 uses two Parallel Guide Tracks you can spread to opposite ends of the workpiece, so parallelism stays locked in across long, full-panel rips.
Think of the Crosscut System as the crosscut specialist, and the complete Parallel Guide System Gen 2 as the tool for long rips. If your work regularly involves ripping full sheets to length — or you want that flexibility down the road — the complete system is the better buy up front. If you want a compact, grab-and-go rig for square, repeatable crosscuts, the Crosscut System is built for you.
One note on planning ahead: there is no upgrade path from the Crosscut System to the complete Parallel Guide System Gen 2 at this time — we don't sell individual Parallel Guide Tracks. It is worth deciding now how you plan to use it: if full-panel rips are in your future, choose the complete system from the start.

Documentation
The video below covers the complete Parallel Guide System Gen 2, not this kit. The Crosscut System uses many of the same components — the Parallel Guide Track and Flip Stop Pro — so it can be a helpful reference for setup and calibration in some cases, but it is not the exact same kit.
