Extend Your Guide Rails for 48" Cross Cuts

Cutting across a 4x8-foot workpiece with the common 55" (1,400mm) guide rail leaves the track saw unguided at the beginning and/or end of the cut, resulting in an edge that may not be straight.

The GRE-13 guide rail extender provides a cost-effective alternative to the 75" (1,900mm) guide rail by joining a nominally 13 5/8” (346mm) section of genuine Festool® guide rail section with the best-in-class GRC-12 Self-Aligning Guide Rail Connectors. Secures using a 3mm driver or hex wrench (not included but available separately). The GRE-13 guide rail extension provides the right support at both ends of the cut, and its convenient length fits in a Systainer!

We recommend using only genuine Festool guide rails to mate with the GRE-13 Guide Rail Extension.

    Rail extension

    The rail extension itself is great! It’s convenient to add the extra guide to my rails. It makes it much easier to make cuts on 8ft sheets. But what is very impressive are the guide rail connectors. The TSO rails are MILES ahead of the Festool connectors. The way they are machined they grab the aluminum extrusions of the guide rails and lock into place. They are amazing!!

    Perfect addition. I was planning on buying a 3000 Festool track because the 2700 just a little short on ripping 4x8 plywood safely. Now with this my 2700mm is now a 3030mm, and a lot cheaper.

    Just a bit more track

    Just what I needed to extend track for comfortable rip cuts. The connector did interfere with track clamp on one side but I used bench dogs to secure. A great assistance.

    Way more manageable 4’ panel cuts

    One of those silly things that make using a track saw just better. No crazy overhanging dual 55” tracks while cutting 4’ panels. The connectors are excellent, though it seems ridiculous to not to include even a cheap 3mm hex wrench.
