Machined Edge for Accuracy You Can Trust
This high-quality anodized aluminum straight edge measures 968mm long, 47mm wide, and is machined on both edges with a tolerance of 0.1mm across the length. Its main intended uses are for checking the straightness of workpieces or surfaces and checking machine tables or alignment. In particular, it makes a great tool for calibrating jointer tables and aligning fences.
The hourglass cross section with its central ribbed finger groove makes it easy to handle. This straight edge will stand on its 10mm wide reference face. The opposite edge has a bevel down to 2.5mm for easy reading. Both edges feature a scale beginning at zero on the right-hand side. It has a hanging hole at one end for safe storage when not in use.

Bought a pair - as accurate as advertised
Bought a pair to have multiple references and ability to validate one against the other. They are well machined and well within tolerances outlined. I highly recommend this product. Moreover and speaking more broadly to TSO, support continues to be fantastic. Delivering the quality one expects from the best in the business

Very Straight
The straight edge is perfectly straight and finally machined, but I just realized the rule is not precise on mine. It’s no big deal, however, as I am not using this as a ruler, so using a sticker in lieu of laser etching the scale in this case likely keeps the cost down, but I wouldn’t use its rule for precision work. That said, this straight edge is damn straight and really helped me diagnose a very problematic accuracy issue I was having with my track saw. So if they can laser engrave the rule without charging more (or much more) there is room for improvement (hence the 4 stars), but there really are better options for that anyway. This is a straight edge and it fulfills that role wonderfully and should be in virtually everyone’s shop.

Excellent Value
Structurally and aesthetically this straight edge appears very straight and well machined and coated (just what you would expect from TSO and UJK). However, I am giving it four stars because it is not perfect. TSO went from a decal-based rule to laser-engraved scales for a reason, and if UJK were to ever come out with one, I would buy that too.
