Axminster Type B Dovetail Jaws (100mm)

Built for Small Bowls, Vases, and Goblets

The Type B is the small-bowl dovetail in the Axminster range — expanding into a 62 mm (2.44") dovetailed recess or gripping a 25 mm (0.98") dovetail spigot. Vase shoulders, goblet stems, and small bowl tenons all sit comfortably in the Type B's grip, with the dovetail profile pulling the workpiece tighter into the jaws as they close.

True-circle diameters are 25 mm spigot or 62 mm recess; the practical range stretches from 22–45 mm (0.87"–1.77") internal and 57–71 mm (2.24"–2.80") external when you can accept some loss of perfect roundness. Stainless steel construction protects against corrosion.

Recommended for SK100 and SK114 chucks. The SK100 ships ready to mount these directly. To use them on the SK114, you'll need the SK100 Accessory Mounting Jaws (sold separately) since the SK114 ships with SK114-specific mounting jaws.

The Type B is sized for the small end of the dovetail range — vases, goblets, small bowl tenons, and similar work where the larger Type A Plus Dovetail Jaws would be overkill. The dovetail profile gives you the most secure hold on the lathe, pulling the workpiece tighter as the jaws close.

On the SK100 chuck, these mount directly to the supplied accessory mounting jaws. To use them on the SK114, fit the SK100 Accessory Mounting Jaws (sold separately) — the SK114 ships with its own SK114-specific mounting jaws by default.
