Description

When the Chuck Is Just Out of Reach

When a large bowl is mounted or the banjo is in the way, a standard chuck key often won't reach the pinion. The long chuck key gives you 255 mm (10") of shaft to clear those obstacles, so you can tighten or release the chuck without dismounting the work or sliding the banjo back.

9 mm (0.354") square drive matches the SK100 and SK114 pinion. Soft-grip handle for tactile control under torque.

Compatible with SK100 and SK114 chucks. Required when using the Button Jaws (250 mm) or Button Jaws (400 mm) for jaw clearance.

Key Features

  • 255 mm (10") of Reach: Past large bowls, past the banjo, past anything blocking a standard key.
  • 9 mm Square Drive: Matches the SK100 and SK114 pinion.
  • Required for Button Jaws: Needed for the Button Jaws (250 mm) and Button Jaws (400 mm) for jaw clearance.
  • Soft-Grip Handle: Tactile control under torque, no slippage.
  • British Made: Designed and manufactured by NuCo Tools in Axminster, Devon, UK.

In Detail

Most chuck keys are short enough that you have to swing the banjo or pull the tool rest to access the pinion. The long key fixes that — the 255 mm (10") shaft reaches past the banjo and around mounted work, so you can adjust the chuck without breaking the setup.

Compatible with the Discovery SK100 and Evolution SK114 chucks. Required for the Button Jaws (250 mm) and Button Jaws (400 mm), where standard keys can't clear the jaw arc.
