Description
A Better Way to Connect Guide Rails
Watch this video to see how the GRC-12 auto-aligns and secures two guide rails at the same time, while eliminating the need for expensive straight-edges.
Another TSO innovation, the GRC-12 is a first-of-its-kind, self-aligning guide rail connector for use with Festool, Makita, Milwaukee, Kreg ACS, POWERTEC, WEN, and Triton brand guide rails. Before the GRC-12, aligning connected guide rails required a variety of methods and additional tools to achieve straight connections, with misalignment often difficult to detect without a long straight edge or similar tool. This issue becomes obvious too late—when gaps show up during assembly or glue-up.
The GRC-12 TSO guide rail connectors solve this problem with a completely self-contained and self-aligning design - thanks to an innovative integral keystone feature. Simply slide the GRC-12 into your guide rail T-slots and firmly tighten the M6 Mushroom Head Screws - that's it.
Because small hex wrenches can be annoying to deal with, we’ve solved that too: the included ball hex driver drops easily into the hex socket and is large enough not to get lost or easily overlooked.

GRC-12 SELF-ALIGNING GUIDE RAIL CONNECTORS
Sometimes the best innovations are simple, and this is one of them. As the description says and video shows this aligns the tracks perfectly. No more fussing with a long straight edge, or putting your track saw between the rails to hold them in place. A certain brand that begins with the letter F and has the word tool in the name has also come up with self-aligning connectors, but they have expanding metal screw holes. The flaw in that design is that the metal will eventually become weak and break from installation and removal. These made by TSO have no moving parts to wear out or break. The design is simple and genius. Highly recommended!

Too flimsy
These connectors work great but should have been made from steel. My first set I bought with the guide rail extension. I had the extension connected to my festoon 55 in guide and was leaning against a wall. it got knocked over and both the connectors got bent. I don't believe they would have bent had they been maid from steel. That thin strip of aluminum is weak to begin with and adding counter sunk through holes leaves very little strength for its purpose.

Good Product
Was skeptical that this would work, but idea sounded good and found a place I could return if needed. They work great to fix alignment issue with Makita rails. With Makita connectors track would be slightly misaligned where tracks meet. This caused the saw to catch and bind when fit tightly on the track guide. The Makita connectors alignment was definitely not good enough to use two short rails together. This makes the alignment pretty good and I won't have to buy the 118" rail.

they work great but are too flimsy
I bought the connectors with the small piece of guide rail and had it attached to a 55 in guide rail . this assembly was leaning against a wall and got bumped and fell to the floor bending both connectors. The guides were unharmed so I bought a new set of connectors and will be more careful. If they had been made from steel I believe they would have not gotten bent. I would have rated them 3 1/2 stars had it been an option. and 5 stars had they been made from steel
