I recently cut some Domino mortises and used the Festool supplied plastic foot. Although it's better than nothing, it doesn't offer stable support for the 700 XL. When I saw the Bigfoot was about to be released I was excited to give it a try. I got one as soon as they came out of production. Eric and the gang scored again with this product. I ran some test mortises using the Bigfoot and got great, consistent results. It provides a very stable platform for the Domino. It takes about five seconds to install (I can live with this…). And when installed, it stays on the plane of the Domino foot. I highly recommend that frequent Domino users grab one and throw it in your systainer (yeah, it fits perfectly in the tray that comes in the Domino sys).
