Bench Dog Holdfasts - Pair

Workholding Made Simple & Quick

Intended to be used in conjunction with workstops like the TDS-13 Low Profile Dog Stop, these Bench Dog "Holdfasts" provide a quick and convenient means to secure workpieces to your 20mm table. With just finger pressure, these holdfasts flex to provide moderate hold-down force and because they're made of plastic, they won't mar your work surface.

To use, simply insert TSO Tall Chamfer Dogs (or other compatible dog, see below) into your table. Place the holdfasts over the dogs with the TSO logo facing up and bridging your workpiece. Then, press down on the holdfasts to apply hold-down force.

In addition to being compatible with TSO Tall Chamfer Dogs, these holdfasts will also fit all TSO Tall Dogs, UJK Expanding Dogs projecting 40mm or more from the table top, and Parf Super Dogs.

Examples of Use

We enjoy using these holdfasts for their speed and convenience in light- to moderate-duty applications, keeping in mind they don't provide the hold-down force of a screw clamp or physical material stop. For that reason, we recommend always using these holdfasts in pairs, and orienting them to oppose the direction of workload as much as possible. Keep in mind dogs can also act as material stops while "wearing" their holdfast. As always, the security of the workpiece should be tested prior to performing the work to assure appropriate, safe conditions.
