Kaizen Hot Knife

I could not figure out how to do an update to a review but wanted to provide a follow-up. Yes, the product was missing the extra tips that were in the pictures. When I contacted TSO about this they were very quick to attend to the issue and work with me on this. They also removed the misleading picture quickly. The hot knife itself works fine and it you are looking to flatten the bottoms this is the tool. As for TSO and their service, top notch, and look forward to the next purchase.

I ordered and received this item with none of the additional tips in the picture or in the video. I contacted TSO and they said that they would send out the missing pieces. What I received today was the Kaizen hot knife with the additional tips missing. I am assuming that this is a "drop shipped" item that TSO is just ordering from another vendor for cheaper than they are charging but so far I do not have the entire set. I will update the review when I get the tips and actually use the knife.

This hot knife, coupled with the include "coin" tip is great for smoothing out the bottom of Kaizen Foam cut outs to give you a more professional look. Can also use the side for burning a thumb hole into the foam for easily extracting your tools. Cleans easy, has a lot of tips for other uses. Overall a pretty good hot knife.

I bought this to use on the foam in my TSO branded systainer to flatten out the foam after cutting it up. It takes a bit getting used to but it works well. I am looking forward to experimenting with it to see what else I can do with it. It comes with a bunch of different tips which look like I could use to embellish some of my wood turnings.
