TPG-20 & TPG-30 Right Hand Parallel Guide System
Driven by customers indicating existing parallel guides were too cumbersome and required too much setup time, we prioritized convenience and usability as cornerstones of the TPG system. We aimed for a parallel guide system that was more accurate, faster to use, and convenient. That’s why the TPG system features single piece, full length extruded t-tracks and a completely tool-free design that only needs to be calibrated once—and can then be stored and quickly redeployed in just seconds for accurate, repeatable cuts.
The TPG system is unmatched not just in convenience and capability. Only the TPG system:
- Combines squaring and ripping into a single operation, with the option of using a single t-track;
- Has the capacity to rip full-size 4x8-foot sheetgoods all the way down to very narrow cuts (when used with a long enough guide rail);
- Can be quickly disengaged from the guide rail for easy handling or storage, and rapidly redeployed without losing calibration—all enabled with a tool-free design that can be used even with gloves on.
Built on a Solid Foundation: the GRS-16
If you own a GRS-16 guide rail square today, there’s good news: you already have the foundation of the TPG system because it utilizes the M6 accessory mounting holes located on the face of your guide rail square. If you own an earlier production model of the GRS-16 before accessory mounting holes were incorporated, you can purchase an affordable mounting hole drilling fixture and add the accessory mounting holes yourself.
Stowable Design that Retains Calibration
The TPG system is available in multiple t-track lengths, denoted by their maximum cut width capability (e.g. TPG-30 enables a maximum cut width of 30 inches). The shortest t-track included in this kit, the TPG-20, is small enough to fit inside a SYSTAINER®, even fully assembled and calibrated with its flip stop in place. Each t-track includes Imperial and metric scales, and can even accommodate more than one flip stop.
A Better Flip Stop by Design
The TPG Reversible Flip Stop includes a number of smart design notes, including a parallax-free pointer, a grippy star knob that is comfortable to use and even works with gloves on, and an adjustable plunger making precise calibration a breeze. When making narrow cuts, the narrow stock calibration rod can be inserted into the flip stop. This 12-inch rod is long enough to reach under the guide rail, all the way to the splinterguard, to enable very narrow cuts. Additional flip stops can be purchased and installed onto the same t-track; a great feature if you are frequently cutting multiples of different lengths. As its name denotes, the flip stop can be easily disassembled and reversed to fit either left- or right-hand t-tracks.
A "Right Hand" Kit
This is a right hand kit, meaning it will register squareness off the front edge of your workpiece. It comes with two t-tracks (with 20 and 30 inch maximum cut width capacities) in right hand configuration. Sold separately, note that a GRS-16 guide rail square is required. (Either a GRS-16 or GRS-16 PE model will work.) Not sure what TPG kit is right for you? Visit our TPG Parallel Guide System Category Page for additional details--see the "Selecting the Correct Configuration" section.

Be careful with TSO products; like Festool Systainers they don't do well in the dark, they tend to multiply!
I strongly recommend the Parallel Guide System to go with the Guide Rail Square, it makes cross cuts fast, accurate, and repeatable.
This kit seems rather basic, but it does everything I need it to extremely well. The pieces are very well made, and fit together perfectly. My only criticism is that the smaller rail, and the medium size rail are too close in size. I would've liked a set with just the medium and large rails. Obviously not a black mark on the product, just personal preference.
I've never used another parallel guide system, though I tried to rig one with Incra t-track and some other stops. This system is great. You can calibrate it. It keeps the square stable on top of your work. Best of all, it's repeatable. Made cabinet sides in no time, right on the money. One thing to make sure of is that it's always flush with the square, a couple of times it wasn't when I double-checked it.
Tip: I got the Kapro nylon bag that's made for their level and it fits perfectly. It has a little section where you can keep the stop and screws. The 24" fits this set and the longer one fits the 50" set. Very handy to have it in these two cases.
I have loved using this bit of kit. IT JUST WORKS! So much so I will be selling my woodpecker kit, as this is so much easier to set up and maintain. The no paralax stop is a blessing for me! Cant wait to see what these guys come up with next!
I just finished cutting the front and back panels for a blanket chest for one of my granddaughters. They are perfectly square and exactly the same size. I can't even estimate the time this system saved me over using my table saw.To crosscut a wide panel on a table saw is dicey at best. I never realized how versatile my MFT table and track saw are until I found this website, 20 mm dogs and the rail square.TSO has increased my fun and reduced my frustration. Thank you.
Order arrived on time and undamaged. Product is of high quality and is easy to use.
I purchased the TPG-20 & TPG-30 Parallel Guide System (Right Hand) set and used them for the first time a few days ago to cut some plywood.
I am impressed, it was very easy to install and calibrate on my GRS-16 guide rail square. Then I set the cursor to the width of the cuts I wanted to make and made the cuts. All very easy and accurate.
The ordering ofthe product was very easy. How ever the website to me was a little confusing. I wanted both R/H and L/H PGs and didnt see that option. So I Tordered the R/H then realised I didnt get the L/H and made a second order for the L/H w the PE 16. After I did that I did find the option to order both as a set. Its prolly my techological ineptness but Id like to see it easier .
Anyway, These are first non festool accessories I have bought. I was a litle leary buying these because I already owned the Festool Parallel guides. But wasnt really happy with them.
I waited to review this product as I havent really used them up to today.
I must say the calibration process was very easy and once I calibrated the PGs i checked and double checked for accuracy. They were dead on. I am very happy with this system as it increased my production time in ripping long sheets of ply. Made it easy peasy.
Only have 2 suggestions, the 30" PG should be a little longer as most kitchen cabinets are cut 31 1/2". That little bit more in lenght would be awesome. Sure they make up for it with the 50" PG but the 30" made a little bit longer would save me the expense of buying it.
I may buy one anyway bc I can mount the GRS 16PE to the hinge on my MFT and then attach the 50" PG to help cut ply to length.
The second suggestion is the stops. the button on the stop Id like a little longer in length. (the one that comes with it is fine but I gess thats my OCD kiccking in) another OCD is the angle of the stop. If it was increased the button would be center on the ply. the way it is now works just fine, but again thats My OCD.
I highly recommend these items to anyone. they are very well made and a high quality product..
Well now the only question I have is what to do with the festool PGs. I dont need them anymore.
Excellent piece of engineering.
It make repetitive cuts of sheet materiel a doddle
