Designed by renowned woodworker and inventor Peter Parfitt, we're pleased to provide UJK Technology's Parf Guide System MK II (PGS). A highly accurate means of laying out a pattern of 20mm holes in a work surface, the PGS MKII makes the task both quick and easy. Thanks to the high precision CNC machining used to perfectly position the registration holes along the two Parf sticks and some classical geometry (the Pythagorean theorem), the PGS MKII produces highly accurate hole positions—near CNC accuracy. With an accurate pattern of 20mm holes and a set of our DoubleGroove™ Dogs, you will be able to make the perfect right angle or 45° cuts with your guide rail and track saw.
The design of the MKII Parf Guide system for sale preserves and guarantees the long-term accuracy of the jig as well as improving the ease of use.
The MKII Parf Guide System uses 2 x MKII Parf sticks along with a drill guide and a special 3mm drill bit to create rows and columns of holes at perfect right angles.
The accuracy of the Parf guide drilling system is dependent on the very tight tolerance of the holes in the Parf stick. The MKII drill guides locate positively into holes in the MKII Parf Stick. The guides feature an oilite bush to guide the MKII 3mm drill bit. This design prevents any possibility of wear or elongation of these vital holes as a result of repeated use. Additional holes in the MKII sticks offer the possibility of drilling intermediate holes at 32mm or 48mm centres or holes at predetermined angles other than 90°. The Parf sticks have a metric scale along one edge so that they may have other uses in the workshop.
How It Works
Based on Pythagorean theorem, the PGS MKII uses two Parf sticks along with a 3mm drill guide and 3mm drill bit to create an accurately placed series of holes with the rows at perfect right angles to the columns. Then the guide block and the special 20mm bit come into play to produce the final pattern of 20mm holes.
The UJK Parf Guide System Mark II comprises two Parf Sticks, 1m long with a series of 3mm holes along the length at 96mm centers; a 3mm drill guide with 3mm drill bit and three 3mm guide pins. Plus, a guide block and a special 20mm TC drill bit with a 3mm center guide.

seem to be accurate
My first attempt did not produce "perfect" results. Close but not perfect.

5 star for accuracy
If you want the most accurate, non cnc MFT table layout..This jig will deliver. A bit time consuming to drill each hole, but, precision takes time. TSO customer service was top notch in sending a replacement for the damaged 20mm cutter.

Extremely accurate and very easy to use.
I bought this to make a simple MFT top that sits on top of couple of saw horrses. I was amazed and blown away by the accuracy and versatility of this system. Might take longer to use than other template systems but the accuracy is guaranteed. Highly recommend it.

The Accuracy
I love this jig. It does everything it is supposed to do with an accuracy that exceeded my expectations. Other than a fence system, I believe I have all the pieces necessary to make accurate, safe cuts using my track saw, instead of using my table saw.

When precision counts
I just received my Parf guide and super dogs. After relentlessly watching others use the jig, I felt comfortable laying out my first mft style table. I even laid out multiple offset holes to maximize my length of cut. I was patient and took my time and laid out about 80 holes with precision. I can't express how much I enjoyed using this jig. I'm so glad that I did not pay for a predrilled top. Now I can make my own. A virtual fist bump for Mr Parfitt.

CNC Quality
I had been lurking on this purchase for a while and final dove headfirst into it. It is very well machined and doing the layout is very simple as long as you don't try and make a hole in a measurement less than 32mm. I do so a small improvment that could be made and did relay this to TSO. I added a small light duty spring under the stop collar so each time I was done drilling the hole it pulled the Forstner bit out.

Expectations Were High, I Was Not Disappointed!
I'm a retired tool and die maker, turned cabinet maker, and purchased the guide system to build a Stanton Bench. The machining of the system parts are of the highest quality. After using the system for the first time, I was amazed on how simple it is to achieve unbelievable accuracy and how quickly a multi-function table can be fabricated. My 24" by 48" bench contained 64 dog holes and the drilling was completed in about 2 hours. I'm also using the TSO close-fit dogs. They fit the holes perfectly, easy to install and remove without any play. Lastly, I'm looking forward to designing and building jigs that can be attached to and used in conjunction with the mft. I highly recommend UJK Parf Guide System to assist all who wish a higher degree of accuracy in fabricating their projects while greatly cutting the build time.
