Description
Make Your MFT More Useful with this Hand Chamfer Tool
This specially designed chamfer cutter tool cuts a neat, small chamfer around a precise 20mm dog hole. You can use it on the Festool MFT/3 table or any custom worktop made using the Parf Guide System. A shallow chamfer has two benefits: it allows full use of a wide variety of tools—from TDS-13 Dog Stops, to Chamfer Dogs, to the UJK Parf Super Dog—plus, it removes the sharp edge around the hole to prevent damage from repeated insertion/removal of dogs, clamps, and other accessories... Not to mention the occasion painful finger snag!
This hand chamfer tool has a solid tungsten carbide cutter with four cutting edges. If the edge becomes dull, simply turn the cutter 90° to a fresh edge. In all probability, it will never need replacing.
Note: This hand chamfer tool is only suitable for use with MDF/HDF. For hardwood veneered plywood, we recommend a 45° chamfer router bit with pilot bearing.

Quality Design and Build
Extremely well made and simple to use. A possible improvement could be to add an adaptor allowing for use in a variable speed drill as in my case I have over 200 holes to chamfer so will have to complete in stages as my wrist wouldn’t handle that level of manual twisting. I highly recommend this product as it is built to last a life time.

UJK TECHNOLOGY CHAMFER TOOL
Very disappointed in the tearout left by this tool in every hole. Used this tool in 20mm holes drilled into cabinet grade maple plywood (A1) and simply made a mess of the benchtop. Purchased and tried to correct with a drill mounted chamfering tool from Amazon. Cleaned things up a lot but still have quite a bit of visible tearout. This tool is probably ok for MDF but I wouldn't use it on anything else. Given the quality, precision and expense of the other UJK tools, one would think that attention to the chamfering tool would be warranted.

Chamfer Tool
While I'm building my own MFT-style assembly bench, I decided I wanted to simplify work holding. So I drilled some 20mm dog holes (using the Parf Guide System) in a hard maple cabinetmaker's bench. I then used the chamfer tool to cut a chamfer. It certainly worked. A few turns, and I had a chamfer. I deducted a star because I got some tearout in the hard maple. This will probably not happen in plywood or mdf, but it's definitely there in hard maple.
