Description
Keep Your GRS-16 Handy
Over the years, many woodworkers have paired their GRS-16 Guide Rail Square with the Parallel Guide System. With the first-generation Parallel Guide System, a GRS-16 could serve as one of the attachment points to the guide rail, giving woodworkers another way to integrate a tool they already owned.
With the release of our Parallel Guide System Gen 2, we redesigned the tracks to be universal—eliminating left/right orientation and making setup faster and simpler. The tradeoff is that the GRS-16 can no longer be mounted directly to the Parallel Guide Tracks. That’s where this connector comes in: it provides the secure, purpose-built interface required to join the GRS-16 to Gen 2 Parallel Guide Tracks.
Better than Before
Unlike the old direct-mount approach, it offsets the square slightly, giving you a clear line of sight so you can visually confirm the GRS-16 is pressed firmly against your workpiece's reference edge. In the original setup, the Parallel Guide Track obscured the reference edge, making it harder to see if you were square before making the cut.
Compatibility
This connector requires a GRS-16 Guide Rail Square with accessory mounting holes on either side of the GRS-16 label, spaced 100 mm apart on centers. These holes have been standard on all GRS-16s manufactured since 2017-18.
What's Included
- 1 qty. Guide Rail Square Connector for Parallel Guide System Gen 2
- Mounting hardware
PRO TIP: Lightweight Crosscutting Rig
With a GRS-16 and the Parallel Guide System Gen 2, you can crosscut small/medium-sized panels using just one Parallel Guide Track attached to your square. It’s one less track to mount, keeping your setup lighter and more portable—perfect for quick jobs or working in tight spaces.
